hello, was it me you're looking for?

LiveJournal is now owned by a Russian company but for now, I think it is still one of the best blogging platforms. I have some equipment to set up to be able to type lots and fast while laying in bed. The computer and browser part of that equipment will not be normal either so until then, I will not know if LiveJournal will still be easy to use or if some other blogging platform will work better for me.

There was a bit of a scare a few years ago when lj was sold to them that the platform might be purged of communities which according to Russian government, 'promote homosexuality to minors' but there really hasn't been any movement there that I can detect. Plus, I'm sure it helps that the servers are still located and maintained out of San Francisco in I believe the same location as when they were owned by Six Apart.

After a recent change to their algorithm which calculates daily community rating based on social capital, currently by my count, there are no less than 39 LGBT+ communities which are above the no-activity threshold. Sadly, the total furry communities by this same criteria are down to only 7.
