Dreamy music

One component of my dreams is music. Often my dreams are more like TV shows and include some interesting background music. I just woke up from a dream which was a show based in the premise of a janitor character who worked at a Crime Investigation laboratory and secretly solved the crimes and made the evidence obvious for the investigators or pointed out the error in their methods. In this case, he wanted a peek at a live insect in a sample bottle made for keeping live insects but the insect got loose. He discovered another insect that was almost identical but slightly different on the floor where the one he let loose was. he went back to the desk where the first one got loose and indeed there was another sample bottle with a loose lid and no insect inside. He put the two insects in the two bottles but of course there is no way to be sure they were not mixed up. Upon the realization that in order to convey this possible switch properly, his sneaky actions would have to be included and he would be fired. While he panicked and was thinking of a possible solution, I woke up. The background music sounded like a Philip Glass version of a Brian Eno attempt at doing a Henry Mancini sneaky movie moment.

here are some example sources of those three: <- check out the "music" tab and then click the "listen/watch" button and choose "The Hours" or any of the "Etudes for Piano" <- this might take you directly to the "Listen/watch" page <- one Eno song with the right sort of sound except without the voice and electric guitar parts <- another Eno song with more of the happy-sneaky feel I was thinking of from Mancini <- check out the "his music" tab after the intro then "music samples" and maybe try "Soldier in the Rain" or "Main Theme (of Touch of Evil)" ... he did the Pink Panther theme for an example you are likely well aware of and the music for the Great Mouse Detective
